Braille

Braille at VCE

VCE's Braille Transcription Project began in 2008 at the Fluvanna Correction Center for Women (FCCW) it consisted of thirteen offenders meeting twice weekly to learn the basics of braille. Each participant worked to prepare a thirty-five page braille manuscript to be submitted for judging. When the manuscript was judged and accepted, the offender was certified as a Braille Transcriber by the National Federation of the Blind and the Library of Congress.

A Touch Of Genius
